James is an FA Level 2 qualified coach and is currently undertaking his Level 3. In addition to his outfield qualifications James also has a level 2 certificate in goalkeeping and a degree in the Art of Sports Coaching having studied at the University of Central Lancashire.

James has been coaching since the age of 16 and has worked with players of varying ages and abilities.

James has recent experience of coaching for Newcastle Bluestar and Kendal Town Football Club.
