Andrew Watson

Andrew Watson

A former professional footballer, Andrew spent 3 years with his hometown club Huddersfield Town and 2 years at Exeter City, making just short of 50 league and cup appearances.

At the age of 21, Andrew had a chance to stay in league football or take an offer to be Commercial Manager at a non-league club and play for the club as well. Andrew, accepting his lack of football talent, took the latter!

This was followed by a 2-year spell as a Sales Executive for the Yorkshire Post Newspaper Group. His big break came at the age of 23, when he took up the role of Commercial Manager at Headingley, the home of Leeds Rugby League Club, Yorkshire County Cricket Club and of course a Test Match venue.

At the age of 27 the Premier League came calling, as Everton approached Andrew to take up the role of Commercial Manager, and in 1999 at the age of 32, he took the next step up in football to become Chief Executive of Burnley Football Club.

In 2003 a twist of fate saw Andrew join his home town team, the team he supported as a boy, and played for, Huddersfield Town where he became Chief Executive and then Club President before leaving the club in 2006 to take up Managing Director roles at both SpeedMark and Total Gaming Solutions, companies that he has been heavily involved in since formation.
